1. Our Commitment to Privacy

(1) Credit Cards News Inc. (hereinafter “Credit Cards News”) is committed to controlling the collection, use and disclosure of the personal information provided by its users and/or customers.

(2) Our Privacy Policy is modeled after the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information and is compliant with federal, provincial and international privacy laws including but not limited to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act & General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016-679). A summary of the ten principles of fair information practices adopted by us will be found at the end of this Privacy Policy.

2. What is Personal Information?

(1) “Personal information” is personally identifiable information such as your name, residential and/or commercial address and e-mail address and includes information about the product, usage, service and recorded complaints.

(2) Personal information is collected by Credit Cards News only when you specifically and knowingly choose to provide it us such as when you subscribe to our website. We may also receive personal information from our business partners and other third parties provided that such third parties confirm to us that they have obtained your consent to the disclosure of your personal information.

(3) Publicly available information, such as a public directory listing of your name, address, telephone number and electronic address, is not considered personal information.

3. Collection and Use of Personal Information

(1) Credit Cards News collects and uses your personal information primarily for the purpose of providing you with the products and services you have requested from us.

(2) Your personal information is used to communicate with you about your account and to provide you with information related to other services. If you indicated that you were interested in receiving offers or information from selected sponsors or advertisers, your personal information would also be used to contact you or to send you e-mail materials and other mailings about products and services that might be of interest to you. You always have the option, however, to tell us not to share your personal information with or to exclude you from offers for other products or services.

3. Disclosure

(1) To enable us to more efficiently provide the products and services you have requested from us, Credit Cards News may share your personal information with selected third parties who are acting on our behalf as our agents, suppliers or service providers. Information provided to third parties may be used only for the purpose stipulated and is subject to strict terms of confidentiality.

4. Use of Cookies

5. Accuracy

(1) Credit Cards News will try to ensure that information provided to you is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, please inform Credit Cards News to whom you provided your information of any change of name, address or other information. In the event you have questions about the accuracy of factual information we have collected about you, you will have access to that information in order to verify and update it. If we have disclosed inaccurate information about you to a third party, we will be pleased to contact the third party in order to correct the information.

Security

(1) Credit Cards News is committed to protecting your privacy. Security measures, such as locked filing cabinets, restricted access and the use of passwords and encryption have been adopted to protect your personal information against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. Our employees have been trained to respect your privacy at all times and those employees with access to your personal information shall use your personal information strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the laws applicable to each specific business.

6. Telephone Consumer Protection Act

(1)We may seek your consent to receive telemarketing calls from us and/or marketing partners in accordance with the rules under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”). If you provide your express consent via your electronic signature for TCPA purposes, even if your mobile or landline telephone number is listed on a Do-Not-Call Registry, you expressly consent to; (a) receive telemarketing calls, text (SMS) messages, and any other means of communication that your wireless device may be capable of receiving (e.g. mms, video etc. ) from the persons named in the consent (including through the use of automated dialing equipment); and (b) receive future information about products and services from us, our marketing partners, Affiliates and other third parties to whom we may provide your Information via other means such as email. You may revoke your consent to be contacted in this manner by any reasonable means at any time (see the Opting-Out section below). Merely accessing our site without providing your express written consent for TCPA purposes does not constitute your consent to receive telemarketing calls.

(2) By agreeing to this Policy, you are obligated to immediately inform us if the telephone number that you provided us changes. If you: (a) have your telephone number reassigned to another person; (b) give up your telephone number; (c) port your telephone number to a landline or vice versa; or (d) otherwise stop using that telephone number, you agree to promptly contact us. Users may revoke their consent to receive telemarketing calls from us and/or the persons named in the consent by contacting us and indicating that do not want to receive any further telemarketing from us or the persons named in the consent.

7. Opting-Out.

(1) Users may opt-out from receiving future offers from us including have their email address removed – unsubscribed – from email marketing lists by following the Opt-Out instructions contained in the marketing communication or by contacting us. If you receive offers or other communications from our third-party marketing partners and would like to opt-out from future communications from them, you must contact them directly. A third party’s use of Information is subject to their privacy policy and we have no control or responsibility over their use.

(2) Users may opt out from the collection of online viewing data for behavioral advertising purposes by companies who have elected to participate in one of the behavioral advertising opt-out mechanisms such as the Digital Adverting Alliance’s opt-out program located at http://www.aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. As is the case with most websites, we have currently elected to not participate in any of these programs or alter our behavior when a user to one of our Websites has activated the “do-not-track” setting on their browser (see, “Browser “Do Not Track” Signals,” described below). Users may also opt out from the same type of data collection performed by Trade Desk, Inc., one of our marketing partners, by contacting us.

8. Limitation of Liability

(1) Credit Cards News takes no responsibility for the accuracy or validity of any claims or statements contained in the information, or related graphics of this site. Further, Credit Cards News makes no representations whatsoever about the suitability of any of the information contained in the information or graphics on this site for any purpose as well as with the information provided to third parties as per the present privacy policy All such information and related graphics are provided without warranty of any kind. Credit Cards News makes no representations whatsoever about any other web site which you may access through this site. When you access a non-Credit Cards News web site, you understand and acknowledge that it is independent of other websites and that Credit Cards News has no control over the content on any other websites. In addition, a link to a non-Credit Cards News Web site does not mean that Credit Cards News. endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content, or the use, of such Web site as well as the information provided to these third parties through Credit Cards News. It is your responsibility to take precautions to ensure that whatever you select for your use by you is free of such items such as viruses, worms, trojan horses and other items of a destructive nature. 9. Access

(1) If you have any questions about the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information or if you simply want to know whether we have any of your personal information on file, you may contact our Privacy Compliance Officer. Except in limited circumstances, as specifically provided by applicable privacy legislation, Credit Cards News can tell you whether they hold personal information about you. They can tell you the source of the information, allow you access to your personal information and find an account of the use that has been made or is being made of the information and the third parties to which it has been disclosed.

(2) Credit Cards News will only refuse access to information about you in those circumstances permitted or required by applicable privacy legislation. 11. Ten Principles of Fair Information Practices

(1) Accountability. Credit Cards News is responsible for the personal information under its control and shall designate one or more individuals who shall be accountable for the company’s compliance with the procedures and principles set out in our Privacy Policy.
